The Poison Control Center’s Laboratory support is integrated with the departments of Clinical Biochemistry and Neurochemistry.

The following analytical toxicology tests are available: 

• Immunoassay screens for psychotropics, CNS depressants, and drugs of abuse.
• Dithionite test in cases of paraquat poisoning
• ICPMS for heavy metal estimation 
• Therapeutic drug monitoring
