Faculty members of the PIC are also involved in training undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in the essentials of toxicology through lectures, problem-based learning sessions and clinics. At the postgraduate level, residents in Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology receive training by members of the PIC in the evaluation and management of common Indian poisonings and envenomings including chronic poisonings due to heavy metal toxicity including their diagnosis, evaluation and management as well as the evaluation and management of patients with alcohol and tobacco use disorder.
